1 Killed, Firefighter Injured in Fall River Blaze

Fire officials say one man is dead following a fire Saturday morning in a two-story home in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Fall River fire officials tweeted that one firefighter was injured in the blaze, which started around 4 a.m. The firefighter was treated at a nearby hospital. His injuries were not apparently life threatening.

The fatality was confirmed by the state Fire Marshal’s Office. Firefighters were still reportedly on the scene of the fire on Palmer Street investigating.

The name of the victim has not been released.
