Quincy firefighters grappled with a 3-alarm fire at a multifamily home Sunday morning.
The fire reportedly broke out at about 6 a.m. at 41 Copeland St. Heavy flames were observed shooting from the building as firefighters hit the blaze with hoselines from all sides of the building.
Officials on scene said no injuries were reported and the fire had not spread, although several homes were located nearby the building. Firefighters did not appear to be hampered by any winds or low temperatures as seen over the winter.
Three families have been temporarily displaced due to the blaze. Fire officials said residents made it out of the home safely.
Multiple crews were on scene, including National Grid. While the fire remains under investigation, fire officials indicate the blaze may have started in an addition on the building.
