Who Is Kidnapping Suspect Louis Coleman?

The man charged in the kidnapping of Jassy Correia once lived in California, holds a master’s degree in physics and created a mobile app for insomnia patients, according to his personal website and public records.

Thirty-two-year-old Louis D. Coleman was taken into custody in Delaware Thursday. His charges include kidnapping and mutilating a body. Correia’s family says police have told them she was found in Coleman’s trunk.

Coleman graduated from California State University in Long Beach in 2016, according to his website.

He was employed by the Waltham-based defense contractor Raytheon, but the company wouldn’t say where he worked or provide details about his job description.

“As this is a criminal investigation, we defer any further inquiries to law enforcement. We are fully cooperating with the investigation,” the company said in a statement.

Coleman lived in the Los Angeles area for several years, with an address there listed in his name as recently as 2017.
